The Good, the Bad and the super mega unbelievable Ugly.
I took a week off to work on new models for an exhibition. Didn't get as far as I wanted to but still made good progress. Now I need to decide whether I do it all the computer or go for hand painted customs.
I should take more time off to work on my own stuff.
I'm still working on the character for GriDD. Everyone is happy, cool things are started and I really want to spend the time on him that he deserves. But it's still bits and pieces. Finally doing what you love but not being able to give it your all sucks. Still, plenty happening and it may have a bigger impact than I can see now.
And when you think live is good, shit hits the fan. Or better cancer hits our best friend, who is all the way in New Zealand and our only way to get information is to wait for emails from his dad. Un-be-fucking-lievable. At this moment they are hitting him with everything they've got and he's to drugged, weak and tired to respond to our emails and messages. Still we keep sending him our love and energy every day. Besides the horror of his illness, it's so frustrating not to know how he feels and what he thinks. Making this painting for him was a good exercise in painting and dealing with emotional stress. Hope he gets to see it soon.Ow, I was here. File under: Rocking great.
